Overview

A unique opportunity for an EA with a passion for providing close, traditional 1:1 support to an extremely busy and well-connected Managing Partner at a highly regarded family office / asset management firm. 

The Managing Partner is extremely well-connected in both political and financial circles and there is a high-volume of correspondence, external relationships and information to manage in this role. Fast, accurate typing is therefore essential and will be tested (80wpm +).   

The ideal background will combine prior experience in an investment or family office setting with political or charitable liaison work.

This role is full time, 8:30am - 5:30pm and is based in the office 5 days a week. 

Working as part of a support staff function of five in an office of 15 people, an ability to thrive in a close-knit, collegiate culture is essential. You will work very closely with the Head of Family office to provide seamless support in a business and private capacity.

With 8-10 years experience gained in a similar role, you are bright and curious with a high appetite for learning and anticipating requirements before being asked

Regular tasks will include:

• Managing complex and ever-changing diaries and multi-stop international travel (business and person)
• Managing inboxes, contact databases, and confidential records via Outlook, CRM systems, and secure password management tools
• Drafting, reviewing and editing correspondence via live and digital dictation on behalf of the Managing Partner (fact-checking and sense-checking where required)
• Preparing documents, reports, and presentations; capturing notes and action points in fast-paced meetings
• Maintaining investment records and overseeing transactions, liaising with private banks and accountants as required
• Supporting the Senior Partner’s professional, political and charitable interests
• Liaising with household staff (London and country), the Principal’s wife and broader family, and external service providers to coordinate personal arrangements
• Organising and manage private events and engagements including group theatre/concert/festival outings, restaurant bookings and shoots
• Providing light out-of-office (OOO) support when required

Essential Requirements

• Significant experience supporting C-suite or Principal-level executives across personal and professional matters, within a family office or boutique asset management environment
• Fast, accurate typing (80+ WPM preferred)
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating flawless grammar and spelling
• Strong IT proficiency across Microsoft Office, CRM systems and related platforms
• Discreet, professional, able to maintain calm and confidence in fast-moving situations
• Collaborative, team-focused, and aligned with an ego-free working culture
• Confident around dogs
• Solutions focused with a proactive and resourceful approach in high-trust  setting
• Knowledge of investment and financial terminology
• Experience in event planning for HNW individuals
• Familiarity with political or charitable liaison work extremely desirable
