Overview

Are you a calm, confident Receptionist who thrives in a fast‑paced office and is looking for a long‑term role? 

A leading private equity firm is seeking a professional, polished Receptionist to join their front‑of‑house team on a temp‑to‑contract basis. This opportunity would suit someone immediately available, reliable, and genuinely looking for a long‑term position rather than short‑term temp work.

You will be the sole face of reception, making this an ideal role for someone confident running a busy front desk independently while staying calm and professional when priorities shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients, senior stakeholders and visitors
  • Coordinating meeting rooms, setups, turnarounds and catering
  • Managing visitor passes and maintaining accurate visitor logs
  • Overseeing incoming and outgoing post and arranging couriers
  • Supporting document preparation (printing, scanning, binding)
  • Ensuring reception, pantry and meeting spaces are organised and presentable at all times
  • Monitoring office supplies and placing orders as needed
  • Providing ad‑hoc support to internal teams and guests
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a professional office environment (financial services or similar beneficial)
  • Fully comfortable managing reception solo in a busy office
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Calm, adaptable and unflappable when things change at short notice
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Polished presentation and strong client‑service approach
